Miss Phyllis Reed Wins D.A.R. Contest
iMss Phyllis Reed, a Senior of] Rensselaer City schools, and Miss Betty Nelson, a Senior of Monoh high jehooL won the right . to. re- j present their respective counties in the State Pilgrimage Contest. This contest it sponsored every year by the Van Rensselaer chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Other contestants and their schools were: Annette Wolf,
Wheatfield; Betty Jo Murphy, Fair Oaks, and Pauline Kingma, DeMotte. The winner in each state receives a free trip to Washington, D. ‘C., and an unusual opportunity to visit places of interest in the national capital. Mrs. Kathryn Duvall is homo after a visit with her family in Knightstown. Wednesday she entertained Mrs. Fay Curtin, Mrs. Frances Zeck and Mrs. Grace Cheever with a bridge luncheon at her home.
