N.I.P.S. CO. DECLARES STOCK DIVIDEND

The quarterly dividend on the 5 per cent prefered stock of the Northern Indiana Public Service company has been declared by the directors, it was recently announced by Dean H. Mitchell, president of the company. The dividend, amounting to $1.25 per share is payable January 14, 1948 to share holders of record at the close of business January 2/1948. Dr. Chas. Chupp of Cornell University, Ithaca, New York attended the science convention in Chicago last week and then visited his sister, Mrs. Rose Hammerton, in DeMotte. Mr. Charles Rowen and Mr. Ross Rowen of Rensselaer visited the Herman Heimlichs and the 0. P. Rowans New Year’s day. Mr. and Mrs. A 1 Ewart and daughters and Janet Hammerton were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. V. Carlson in Crown Point.
