SCHOOL BELLS RING AGAIN

Christmas was only a memory on Monday morning. The confusion of the holiday gave way to orderly routine as the youngsters, some reluctantly, returned to school. Weary mothers found a few minutes to relax in the quiet of an empty house, probably for first time in two weeks. Teachers who had been at home or out of town were back at their desks. Bus drivers were cautiously operating on icy highways. That nice long vacation, since Dec. 23, was over.
