FRAUDULENT CHECK PASSING ADMITTED

Richmond, Dec. 30 Ulysses Gerald Rees admitted to police today that he passed bad checks in 15 Indiana towns on a preChristmas buying splurge. The 30-year-old ex-convict, told Sheriff Carl Sperling that he wrote worthless checks in amounts from $45 to $75 in most places. Sperling said the man told him he “could not recall” all the towns where he passed the worthless paper but did list Frankfort, Alexan-

dria, Vincennes, Hamilton, Columbus, Shelbyville, Rushville, Liberty, Winchester, Marion, Kokomo, Muncie, Topton, Perry and Chester. He was charged with issuing a worthless $76 check at Chester to buy groceries on Nov. 12.
