COMMUNITY SHOWS FINE XMAS SPIRIT

The Christmas spirit was really evident in DeMotte the past \yeek. Homes decorated, business houses carying fine decorations and in general one of the finest since the war. The supreme climax of the yule tide was the organization of our civic clause, under one committee with Mrs. Frances Zeck the chairwoman.. Under this group money, fruit, meat, vegetables and everything it took to make some ones holiday a bit happier were given by everyone. Most of the folks saw the kiddies treated at the school Christmas party and the reception they gave Santa, but the finest was to see the tears of happiness and thanksgiving in those eyes of the kiddies and families who would have had a mighty bleak Christmas but for you fine folks of DeMotte and vicinity. Thanks again DeMotte for your spirit of Christmas well done. Your Civic Xmas Group.
