MRS. RUTH KEENE’S CONDITION BETTER

The condition of Mrs. Ruth Keene, of Wheatfield who was injured in an automobile accident Christmas day which cost the life of .'her husband, is improved today.. Her condition was not so favorable yesterday. When pneumonia ymptoms appeared Saturday ' was given'penicillin treatjnr*. which proved highly effective. ' "is believed the • pneumonia threat has been forestalled. She was quite ill for a time due to stomach gas which ailment has been' eliminated. Mrs. Keerie suffered four rib fractures and internal bruises when the car she* was driving skidded on ice and struck a tree east of De Motto. Mr. Keene was injured fatally and died a short time after reaching Jasper county hospital. Mrs. Keene is .at the local hospital. She is the former Ruth j Rice Clark. : .
