DEMOTTE LADY PASSES AWAY; ILL A YEAR
Mrs. Ella (Roorda) Kleinblossom, Resident of County 50 Years, Dies; Rites Tuesday The DeMotte community was deeply saddened Saturday by the passing of one of their dearest friends and neighbors, Mrs. Ella Kleinblossom. Mrs. Kleinblossom, a devoted church-goer since coming to this vicinity fifty years ago, had been in failing health for the past year. The decedent was born in Roseland, Illinois, November 11, 1889, the daughter of Johannes and Katherine (Rispen) Roorda. Mrs. Kleinblossom attended school in Fair Oaks after coming here at the age of seven. She married James Kleinblossom November 23, 1944 after being widowed in 1936 by the death of her first husband, Edward Myers of Fair Oaks. Mrs. Kleinblossom is survived by her husband, James Kleinblossom, five brothers, Frank, Henry, and Don Roorda of DeMotte. Albert Roorda of Hammond and John Roorda of Harvey, Illinois, and two sisters, Jennie Evers, Harvey, Illinois and Margaret Buys of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Funeral Services were conducted by the Todd Funeral Home Tuesday, October 14 at the First Reformed Church with the Rev. Fredrick Dolfin officiating. Interment was in Roselawn cemetery.
