PRODUCTION DOWN

New York, Aug. 20 Steel operations this week are at 92.8 per cent of capacity, representing production of 1.623,900 net tons, the American Iron & Steel Institute estimated today. Drop in operations from 93.2 per cent of capacity or 1,630,900 tons a week ago resulted largely from furnace repairs, the Institute said.
