CO. SCHOOLS WILL OPEN ON SEPTEMBER 2D

And Listen, Pupils, It Will Be A Full Day With No Time Off For Good Behavior County Supereintendent Ira L. Huntington released the following information relative to the opening date of rural schools and other information pertinent to the beginning of a new term. All Jasper county schools will open Tuesday, September 2, central standard time, for a full day of school. Arrangements have been made for all school buildings to be open on Wednesday afternoon and evening, August 27th, and on Friday morning and afternoon, August 29th. These two days are for the convenience of school patrons and students to enable students to secure book lists and purchase and sell used books if they care tcT do so? Book exchanges will be conducted at each building. The opening schedule of school is as follows: Book exchanges and giving out of book lists; Wednesday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m., August 27th. Wednesday evening from 7 to 10 p.m., August 27th. Friday from 8:30 a.m., to 4 p.m., August 29th. First day of school; September 2nd, Tuesday, all day. Ostings department store will handle books this year, both new and used.
