County Herds Are To Be Tested
20 Pct. Examination Will Be Made, Auditor Wood Advised By State. Approximately twenty percent of Jasper county cattle are due for T/B. examination during the coming weeks, Auditor H. R. Wood has been advised by Dr. Hamilton of the State Veterinarian departl ment. Two veterinarians will begin' work on April 28th and two weeks later two more will be here to assist in the work. Ed Wilkie was called to Chicago Saturday night by the serious illness of his father. Mrs. Bert Boezemari spent a few days in Chicago last week visiting her sister. Mr, and Mrs. Henry Van Dam, Mr. and Mrs/ Robert Van Dam and Jim Van Dam of Dell Rapids, South Dakota are < here for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Roy VanDam. Mr. and Mrs. John Sock and children, Miss Marie MauseU of Chicago w’gre Sunday visitors at the Roy Van Dam home . Helen Zeck who is now, employed in Michigan City spent the week-end here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zeck. Nettie Kelly and Otto Gross of Gary spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank’ Zeck;. Mr. James Voorheis and daughter Wanda were called tQ Muncie this past week due to the ■ serious illness of Mrs. Vodhheis. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Heimlick and sons visited Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Schatz of LaPorte Sunday. While there they attended the conformation of the two children of the Schatz’s at the St. Johns Luthern Church.
