Death Comes To Aged Lady At Home Of Her Daughter In T Rensselaer; Services Saturday , Mrs, James Longstreth, si\, of Parr, ja, lifetime resident of Rensselaer Community, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs Ross : Rowen, in V Rensselaer at midnight Wednesday night. Death was due to- shock resulting from a fall, at her home two weeks ago. Mrs. Longstreth was ([brought to her daughter’s home to be eared for. She lapsed into unconsciousness several days ago and since that time her life had ebhed gradually. | Mrs. Longstr’eth's maiden name was Minervia Price. She was born im Barkley towjnship April 2, 1867, the daughter! of William Price rand Isabel (Whited) Price, both iof whom were natives of Jasper county. Her entire lifetime was spent in the vicinity of Rensselaer, She had been a resident of Union township for many years. She was married to James Longstreth August 1, 1883. He passed away, at Parr July lj, 1929. To the above Unioh \yere born eleven children, of whom eight survive and all of whom were with her on two occasions this week. The children j are Edward Longstreth of Wheatfield, Mrs. Violetta Stibbe, Paid, Leo and James, jr., Longstreth, all of Parr and MrsnVlyra Welsh and Alfred Longstreth. of Woodstown, New Jersey, and Mrs. Ross Rowen of this city. She also leaves to mourn their loss nineteen grand chilren and thirteen great-grandchildren, and two brothers and two sisters, John Price of Union Mills, Mrs. William -Piatt and Mrs. Blanche McCurtain of Parr and William Price of Galien, Mich. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. W. L. Wood and JUrs. Otto Sheffer and Estel Price. ■ j Mrs Longstreth was a member of the Catholic' church. During her active years she took deep interest in the various phases of church work. She was highly esteemed by everyone. Charitr able, considerate, generous and deeply concerned in the welfare of her family, friends and community, she occupied a deep niche in the! hearts of all. Her beautiful character was admired by all. and in her passing many are grieved. Tint funeral"services will be held from St. Augustine’s Catholic church of Rensselaer at 9:30 o’clock Saturday morning. Interment will lie at Mt. Calvary cemetery in Rensselaer. The remains will be at W. J. Wright Chapel until the funeral hour.
