CAR DITCHED, GARY MAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

Evidently failing to note the turn at the junction of 10 and 53 south of DeMotte and then applying tlie brakes too sharply upon realizing his mistake, William A. Speer, 32, of Gary, ditched his car about 7:15 o’clock last night on the west side of No. 10. He was en route to Logansport. Mr. Speer was injured and was removed to a Gary hospital before the arrival of Sheriff Webb and State Policeman Bostwick. The damage to the car was estimated at $450. The DeMotte Volunteer Fire Department has received $25.00 from Lambert Sehoon for putting out a house fire January 20. We thank you.
