County Home Folk Have Nice Xmas
Turkey Dinner, Presents. Carols Brighten Day For Aged Residents ( Christmas day Was a gay one for the residents |o.f the county home whose day was brightened by a turkey dinner spread by sup--1 erintendent and Mrs. James Davis, present from the home at the conseventeen residents at the home. Each of the residents received presents from the Home at the Conclusion of the dinner and their afternoon was one of continuous pleasure, with four different groups from the city calling on them and j singing Christmas carols. Singers from Gospel Tabernacle were the i first to appear anci after singing | carols they gave of the resI idents a vase hearing hand-made roses. Girls from the Monnett j school under the guidance of the Rev. Earl Moore of the Methodist church also sang carols and gave each of the honored guests j fruit, candy and pop corn. After! that two rhore groups ffom Rensselaer , sang carols. Relatives and fr- ! iends of the residents added more gifts. It was grand day for the aged folk.
