Mr. and Mrs. Jake Wai str a of Lansing, 111., were Thanksgiving day guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Hoffman. | Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Eley visited Mrs. Ely’s mother, Mrs. Mary Ward of Montpellier, Ind., Thanksgiving. Margaret Dankowski of Hegewisch visited Mabie Sekema ov|?r the week-end. Mr. and Mrs.- Nick Zylstra were Sunday evening guests at the Bert Toppen home. Mr. and Mrs. Peter G. Walstra are the parents of a daughter, born Sat. Nov., 30. The little Miss has been named Elizabeth Kay. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hamstra were Thanksgiving day guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hamstra.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bowman of Hebron entertained with a dinner Sunday in honor of Neil Sekema and Mrs. Owen Hazletts birthdays. Mrs. Neil Sekema, Mabie Sekema and Mrs. Owen Hazlett also attended. Mrs. Beulah Hart and daughter Carol, visited Mrs. Hart’s mother, Mrs. Spuregon, Thanksgiving. Guest at the home ot Mr. and Mrs. Neil Kaper have been Rev. and Mrs. Louis Benes and family, Mrs. Benes is the sister of Mrs. Kaper. Mr. and Mrs, John Tysen and sons, were Thanksgiving dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard (Boe) Tysen of South Holland, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Gorbet and daughters, visited his niece, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Stancell of Rochester, Ind., Thanksgiving. Miss Marie Intveld and Josephine Vander Ploeg visited friends and relatives in Chicago over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sekema visited Mii George Terpestra of Lafayette, Thursday. Mrs. Grover Gorbet and daughter Patty visited relatives in Gary over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sekema Jr., and daughter, Joan had Thanksgiving dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sekema Sr. , Mabie Sekema and Jim Hazelett visited Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hazelett of Hebron Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Emerson were called to Chicago a week ago on account of the illness of Mrs. Emerson’s mother, Mrs. Mary E. Rorsan. Mrs. Rosan passed away at 3:45, Sunday 24th a.m. and was buried Wednesday at Mount. Phiet cemetery. Mrs. Rorsan celebrated her 89th birthday on the sixteenth of Nov. with open house and was in the best of health.
