Indiana Congressman Being Boomed For Leadership of House At Coming Session ■ Washington, Dec. 5. —Renewing their campaign to boost Rep. Charles E. Halleck (R.-Ind.) into the post of floor leader in the new House, Gov. Ralph F. Gates and other Indiana Republican leaders arrived here today. “We’re all behind him,” State Chairman H. Clark Springer said as Halleck and Sen. Capehart (RInd) met the group at their train. tSaid Halleck: “It’s in the bag.” Tomorrow’s Republican national committee session will be Governor Gates’ first since his recent election as national committeeman. Also in the party were Horace M. Coats, state committee secretary; Mrs. Cecil Harden, national committeewoman; Mrs. Mabel Frazier, state vice chairman; James W. Costin, state treasurer; Don G. Trone, finance secretary of the state committee; Mrs. Gates; Mrs. Springer, and Mrs. Noble Johnson, wife of Indiana’s Sixth district representative. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Osting visited relatives of Chicago Thanksgiving.
