Legumes Productive
Legumes increase soil fertility by furnishing nitrogen from the air by the action of millions of tiny bacteria in the roots. Legumes, whan turned under and allowed to decay, also supply badly needed humus. This humus improves the physical condition of the soil, supplies more plant food and makes the earth hold moisture much better.
