Observe Silver Wedding Day

Mr. and Mrs. Orval P. Rowen Have Quiet Day At Home On Occasion of 25th Wedding Day Mr. and Mrs. Orval P. Rowen of DeMotte observed the twentyfifth anniversary of their marriage at their home in DeMotte Sunday, with members of the family and a few friends on hand to help them observe their quartercentury of married life. There was no official observance, but there was a family dinner, gifts and a general good time. Mrs. Rowen is the former Miss Ruth Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Clark of Rensselaer, and Mr. Rowen is a son of Charles Rowen of Rensselaer. ‘ * Mr. and Mrs. Rowen were married at the home of the bride’s parents on November 24, 1921, which was Thanksgiving day. Since their marriage their anniversary twice has fallen on Thanksgiving. Mr. Rowen’s father also was married on November 24, which was also Thanksgiving day in 1892. Members of the family from here attended, along with DeMotte relatives and a few friends who gathered at the home in the afternoon. r
