AMERICAN REFORMED CHURCH NOTES

The Ladies Aid Society met Wednesday, November 13, in the church.* Mrs. Wm. Peterson was in charge of the program. Hostesses for the meeting were Mrs. S. Hamstra, Mrs. C. Mak, and Mrs. J. Evers. There was an election of officers for the coming year with the following result: Mrs. Wm. Unzicker, president; Mrs. A. Hoffman, vice-president; Mrs. S. Hamstra, secretary; Mrs. F. B. Boolenaar, treasurer. There was a meeting of the Consistorial Union of the Classis of Uliana in the American Reformed church Monday evening, November 18. Over 200 men were present from the Reformed churches in this area. A debate and open forum on the subject of the proposed union with the United Presbyterian church constituted the program. The women’s society of the American Reformed church served light refreshments after the meeting. The Girl’s League for Service of the American Reformed church is inviting the community to a program of moving pictures in the church Thanksgiving evening a| 7:45 o’clock. Pictures recommended by the Board of Domestic Missions will be shown that will be of greatest interest to young and old.
