DeMotte To Play Kentland Tonight

The DeMotte Indians will get a chance to play another of the better teams of Newton county tonight at the local gym when they meet Kentland, who “gave away” its semi-final game to Brook in last year’s sectional tourney. Leading Kentland into the game will be Phillipi, star forward who scored 20 points against DeMotte last year. He will be ably assisted by center Murphy, who contributed 10 points to the Indians* defeat. In their one start this season, Kentland defeated the strong Mt. Ayr team, 33-29. Indians Scalp Wheatfield The Indians journeyed to Wheatfield Friday night to bring home two victories. The B team game was won with a score of 23-11, and the A team game was an easy victory, with a score of 3319. The starting lineup for DeMotte was Cheever, DeVries, Rowen, Chappell and Kaluf.
