War Crys Christmas Effort Gets Underway With Lieut. Wood Directing Canvass The annual Salvation Army fund drive in Jasper county was inaugurated today with Lieut. Wood of the Gary offices directing. Miss Wood stated this' is the Christmas effort and that War Crys will be distrubted during the forenoon and that canvassers will come in the evening to make the collections. The effort was highly successful here in 1945 and it is anticipated the drive this year will be fully as successful as a year Every citizen is asked to contrtibute as liberally as. possible to this humanitarian effort.
