Wheatfield Man Dies of Pneumonia

William S. Stump Dies Last Night At Valparaiso Hospital; Resident Of Wheatfield For 60 Years William S. Stump died at six o’clock Tuesday evening at the Valparaiso hospital following a two weeks illness. Pneumonia complications was the cause of his death. Mr. Stump was born in Rensselaer November 15, 1880, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ace Stump. When he was six years of age the family moved to Wheatfield and Mr. Stump had since lived there. He was engaged in plastering and general He He was married to Flora Knapp. Surviving are the following children, Winfred of Wheatfield, Mrs. Vivian Mason of Libertyville, 111., and Maurice of Gary, and the the following brothers and sisters, Joe and Cecil of Waukegan, 111., Walter of Monon, Mrs. Blanche Knapp and Mrs. Cora Duggins of Waukegan, Mrs. Minnie Dever of North Chicago, Mrs. Tillie Zork of LaPorte, Mrs. Iva Koch of Waukegan, and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Stump was a member of the Wheatfield Masonic lodge. He also held the 32nd degree rank. The funeral services will be held from Wheatfield Pentecostal church at 1 o’clock Friday, November 8, with the Rev. Earl Moore officiating. Burial will be at Wheatfield cemetery. Full masonic rites will be held at both the church and cemetery. The remains will be at Todd Funeral Home in DeMotte until 12 o’clock Friday when they will be taken to the church.
