ANNUAL CORN SHOW WILL BE HELD NOV. 3-5

Armory Again To Be Setting Of Annual Event; Cash Prizes, Trophies To Be Awarded The Jasper county Corn Show will be held on Decemebr 3, 4 and 5 in the Armory at Rensselaer. Numerous cash prizes and 21 silver trophies will be awarded this year for the best exhibits of ear corn, shell corn and single ears. Classes will be available for entries in the bushel, ten ear, and peck samples of shelled corn either white or yellow. Carl Nesius of Jordan township was the Jasper county Corn King last year, also having won it in 1944 as well}. Prizes will be offered in the farmers and boys classes of corn exhibits. All memebrs of the Jasper county 4-H corn club are expected to complete their corn projects by exhibiting a ten ear sample of corn in the Corn Show 4-H club division with completed record books. Three silver trophies will be awarded in this division of the show. Gold, silver and bronze medals will also be awarded' during the Corn Show; to participants with high corn yields in the adult and junior 5 acre corn production contest.
