Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Allen and daughters visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas at Winamac on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Misch and i family attended a birthday dinner Sunday, September 22, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Klemp of Wheatfield, in honor of their sons, Walter and Junior. Mr. and Mrs. William Bricker and family visited with his sister, Margaret, of Hebron Sunday. Sue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Davis, was on the sick list last Friday and Saturday. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Allen last week were Mr. and Mrs. Marion Allen of Medaryville, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Shroyer, and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Barber. Miss Lizzie Meyer of Brunswick returned home after a two weeks’ visit with her sister, Mrs. John Meyer. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Davis and Mrs. Meyers accompanied her sister home on Sunday. Mrs. William Bricker enter- | tained the Home Economics club ■on Thursday afternoon. Five members were present and one guest, Mrs. Charles Misch. Mrs. Bricker presented the lesson, /‘Tools for Sewing.” Also instructions to make continuous bias. Prizes were won by Mrs. Bert Filson and Mrs. -Charles Misch. Mrs. Misch became a member of the club. The next meeting to be held on Thursday, October 24, at the home of Mrs. Joseph Jachim. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Rice entertained Saturday evening in honor of their daughter Jeanette’s birthday, and son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rice’s sixth wedding anniversary. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rice and son, Dicky, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nemith, Mr. and Mrs. Burns, Mr. Robert Benoit, Mr. Alex Palczynski, Mr. and Mrs. Frenchie Dionne and Donald Nuss of Wheatfield. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Meyers of Chalmers were visitors at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ernest Davis, and mother, Mrs. John Meyers, on Friday afternoon. Mrs. Andrew Misch of Wheatfield and cousins of Wisconsin visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Misch on Friday j afternoon. The W. S. C. S. will meet October 8. Place of meeting to be
announced later. The Conservation club will meet at the school house on Monday evening, October 7. Supt. and Mrs. Ira L. Huntington returned Saturday morning from a ten-day tour that included attendance at a National Educational Convention at Des Moines, lowa. From there they proceeded to Denver and Colorado Springs for a short vacation. Enroute home they visited the President’s, home at Independence, Missouri, Mark Twain’s home at Hannibal, Mo., and Lincoln’s home and memorial at Springfield, Illinois. They reported a delightful trip.
