HENRY TOKEN IN RACE FOR COUNTY TREASURER

Another Republican nomination contest for the May primaries was projected Wednesday afternoon when Henry Tobcn of Rensselaer and a Jordan Township land operator filed as a candidate for the office of county treasurer, Previously there was only one contest, Carl Haymond of Rensselaer and also a Jordan township landowner. The office is currently held by Howard If. Clark, who is completing his second term and therefore is ineligible for further candidacy, Mr. Tobcn has been president of the Jasper County Fair Association from the year of its establishment, a strech now running into 21 years. He has never held public office, but has been active in community affairs of township, city and county scope. He is widely known and has many friends throughout the county. Mr, Toben asks that you give consideration to his enndidacy. Mrs. Joe Speechley and Mrs. Clyde Story of DeMotte, and Mrs. Sue Riester and Mrs. Sophie Spenavitch of (iary along with two entertainers gave a birthday party to the boys in Wards C-D.E. and F. at Great l.akes hospital Tuesday.
