George Marr is enrolled at the Jasper County Hospital for medical care. Roy Reinhard of Fair Oaks is receiving medical care at the Jasper County hospital. Martha Jones of Roselawn is receiving medical care at the Jasper County hospital. Mrs. Edna Frame visited over the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Earl St rube in Gary. Mrs. W. I). Archibald, wife of the pastor of the DeMotte Methodist Church, has been confined to her bed for the past two weeks since she returned from the Methodist hospital in Gary. Mr. Pennington of Pennington’s Shoe Store, Rensselaer, was a business caller in the village Tuesday. Mr. Pennington opened a new T store in Rensselaer a couple of weeks ago, and reports that business has been very brisk. Harry (“Hi”) Milner of Rensselaer, republican candidate for sheriff of Jasper County was in the village Tuesday getting acquainted with the voters here. Mr. Milner was born and raised in Jasper County. This is the first time he has ever run for any public office.
