Mrs. Carl Punter’ and Mrs. Melva E. Barker started working at the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant last week. Miss Irene Ross is taking care of the Baker children. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Huhn and sons Elliott and Wayne spent Saturday evening at the home of Mr. -.and Mrs. David Millar at Tefft. Sunday guests at the home of Faye Brown were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Huhn and sons Elliottt and Wayne. The fire-department was called to the Clyde Story home Wednesday about noon, where they quickly extinguished a chimney fire. Thursday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Westerhoff were the latter’s brother, Capt. and Mrs. Sidney Piersma and son of Orlando, Florida. Mrs. M. H. Fase and grand daughter, Carol Ann visited from Thursday to Sunday with relatives in Chicago. Mr. Fase went ■in on Saturday and returned Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bartz and son left Friday for Minnesota where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. C. Mcabe. Mr. Bartz just recently received a medical discharge from the Navy after serving 18 months in the Pacific.. Mrs. Roy Van Dam and Miss Helen Zeck spent the week end .in Gary. Lieut, and Mrs. James Look and family of Kingsville, Texas visit over the week end at the Paul Stangle’s. Saturday evening they attended the alumni dance at Westville. Miss Barbara Stangle accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. John McKee of Crown Point visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew. Woudema. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zeck visited Sunday at the home of Hanna and George Brody near Kouts.
