CHAS. SUMMERS SELLS DEMOTTE TELEPHONE CO.

The DeMotte Telephone Company, established years ago by the late Abraham Halleck, has been sold by Charles Summers to Mr. Geo. Muss man, who operates the Hebron exchange. Mr. Summers operated the plant for eighteen years, having purchased the business from Ross Thompson, Roselawn telegraph operator. During eighteen years Mr. Summers conducted the business he enjoyed an ever increasing patronage. Mr. and Mrs. Summers have moved to Rensselaer having purchased the late Frank E. Babcock residence on Park avenue some time ago. Mr. Summers states that he will retire from active life other than manage his farming interests in Newton county. He owns a farm three miles north of Mt. Ayr.
