NATIONAL WAR FUND DRIVE TO OPEN OCTOBER 9, IN JASPER CO.

As the United Nations surge on to Victory, as the weakening forces of the Axis give way before the growing might of the Democracies, and the Underground movements in all conquered countries are showing new courage, new hope, and new resistance, the people of the USA are again called upon to contribute to the National War Fund. This fund is a democratic institution, conceived by the people of this nation, in the interest of victory. Your contribution should be indicative of your interest in this victory. The money from this campaign will be used for the USO, War Prisoners Aid, United Seamen’s Service, and sixteen other member agencies providing aid for our allies and refugees. By contributing to this fund, you are aiding our own armed froces, you are extending a neighborly and sympathetic hand to our fighting Allies, and you are continuing to maintain our local long-establish-ed community agencies for health, welfare and recreation. The success of our drive depends on the generosity of the citizens in Jasper County. You will be called on personally by a willing worker and it is hoped you will give generously to this worthy cause.
