FIRE DESTROYS FARM BUILDINGS

A fire caused by the backfire from a tractor which was being used in filling the silo, completely destroyed the barn and several other sheds on the Art Hoffman farm, Monday afternoon. The house also was on fire but through the efforts of the DeMotte volunteer fire department, was saved. Mrs. Jack Evans spent the week end with her mother at Walkerton.
