Athletic Head Dies Tuesday morning Mr. Stangle announced the unexpected death of Arthur L. Trester, head of the Indiana High School Athletic Association. He said in part, “You present day athletes and those who have been the high school athletes during the last thirty years have lost a sincere friend, a man always standing for clean and honorable athletic contests, and I have lost a personal friend who has been of untold help to me in my high school athletic work.” Junior Class News When our Junior Class assembled this year we made a count of the members of the calss and found that we have 16 girls and 8 boys. Kathleen Sauer and John Boezeman are the News Reporters for the paper. Our sponsor is Miss Beatrice Mann. The ring salesman has taken the order for our class rings and has informed, us that they will reach us sometime in February or March of 1945. They are very pretty and we are pleased with our choice. Almost all of the boys in our class have gone out for football. June Swart, Josephine Speechly, Alice Rowen, Barbara Stangle, and Virginia Mak have gone out for yell leading. We all admit they’re pretty good. Steps have been taken for the choice of our class play and also the date.
