Ex-Seamen Sought For U. S. Maritime Officer’s School
CHICAGO (SPECIAL) The U. S. Maritime Service announced today that ex-seamen, w’ith 14 months sea experience in the engine or deck departments of merchant or naval vessels, are being sought for officer’s training. It makes no difference when this experience w’as gained. Qualifying applicants are enlisted as acting chief petty officers and graduated, after a four months course, as ensigns. All details may be obtained from the U. S. Maritime Service, 844 Rush Street, Chicago or 312 East Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee.
