14 LEAVE FOR PRE-INDUCTION

John Louis Walstra, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Walstra, was among the group of selectees who left September 1, for a pre-induc-tion physical examination. “Lukie” was inducted immediately and assigned to the paratroop division. He was sent to Camp Atterbury where he is awaiting orders to be sent to a paratroop training camp. Others in the group were: Alexander Martin, Arthur Bryant, Clyde Hammersly (trans. out) Paul Fred Pfledderer, Ivan Ross Potts, Thomas Nathan Eldridge, Take Louis Braaksma, A. Ramey Salyer, Walter Robert Holland, Marvin Eugene Luers, Robert Ferguson Peck, James Edward Zeigler and Donald Eugene Hoehn.
