NEWS OF OUR SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN

Charles U. Jared, son of Mrs. R. E. Davis of DeMotte, has enlisted in the air force enlisted reserve assigned to air combat crew training, through the Indianapolis induction center. He is a graduate of Morgan Township high school. Seaman 2]c Duane Hanaway, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hanaway who is stationed at Washington, D. C. was home last week. F|O Arthur Grube, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Grube, has a New York APO address. Cpl. John Van Kley has been sent to Camp Polk, La. S Sgt. Robert Tillema is now at Mt. Home, Idaho. Pvt. Peter G. Walstra is home on furlough. Sgt. Perry Coberly, stationed at Ft. Dix, is home on furlough. A card from A C T. J. Moolenaar reads, “Dear Editor, I wish to give you my change of address again so I may get the paper on time. Imagine its quite a nuisance changing the addresses so many times, but I really do appreciate your trouble.** I am at Maxwell Field, Pre-Flight School now for a stay of 10 weeks. I am getting along fine and we’re getting some rigorous training. Thanking you again for the paper, I am, sincerely, Bud Moolenaar.”
