Although behind 4 to 3 going into the last of the fifth inning, DeMotte won the ball game 6 to 4. Carl Punter hit a home run with a man on base to put DeMotte in the lead 5 to 4 and in the sixth DeMotte pushed one more run across DeMotte played their usual ball the first few innings, making several errors and donating the visitors a lead, but were able to come back and win.
