NEWS OF OUR SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN
Folowing is a V-mail letter received from T 5 Gerald Knip, written July 13. Dear Editor, Just a few lines to thank you for the paper. I received four copies of it yesterday after not receiving it for some time and certainly did miss it. I like it here very well, but it doesn’t seem to warm up too much and of late it has rained a lot. I am with a nice bunch of fellows and we have our fun, but I always look forward to the time when we can all come back home again. I also have a slight change of address as you may already know. So long and best wishes. Gerald Knip. Dear Mrs. Peterson, I have had a change in my address. I am now at Camp Swift. Texas. It is quite different here than in Colorado. It seems funny to us not to see mountains all around and to be able to look for miles in any direction. The heat is terrific, but we’ll get used to to it by and by. I hope. The people here still call us the Dam Yankies, believe it or not. If there are any of the boys from around there down here please send me their addresses and I’ll try and look them up. Yours sincerely Pvt. Ray Williams. Harland Shuey SC2 c has been moved to Whidbey Island, Washington. Pfc. Dale Schwanke of Westover Field, Mass., is home on furlough. His brother Lt. Wm.
