Gerrit C. Evers Stricken By Heart Attack

Known particularly to North Harvey, Illinois residents because of his long residence there, Gerrit C. Evers passed away on Thursday afternoon at 5 o’clock at his home. Death was sudden and due to a heart attack. For thirty-five years Mr. Evers and his family have lived at the address, where he operated a welding shop. He was born in the Netherlands on Oct. 30. 1879. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Jennie Evers, and four children, as well* as four brothers and a sister. The children are Neal and Willard, residing in Harvey, 111., Pvt. John Evers, of Camp Shelby, and Alice, who lives at home. Richard, Cornelius, Florence and Mrs. C. Knip live in Indiana and another brother, John, in Deerfield, Illinois. Rev. Ellsworth Ewing conducted the funeral services, held on Monday afternoon, at the Kerr Chapel. Hazel Wood was the place of interment. 1
