Mrs. Clara Murray will entertain the country club on Thursday. Vincent Stalbaum, Jr., has been inducted into the army. Bessie and Billy Middlekamp have returned home from a visit in Akron, Ohio, with relatives. Mrs. Henry Olsen spent Friday in the home of her friend, Mrs. Chas. Jasperson. Dr. and Mrs. Powell of California are here for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Langdon. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Jasperson and children were Sunday visitors in Gary and Hammond. Mrs. Roy Keene, Yolanda Keene, June Jeffers and Mrs. Sherman White, all of Hammond, attended the Jeffers sale on Tuesday. Sgt. and Mrs. Frederick Jeffers are home on a furlough. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jay and family of Elkart spent the week end in the Alva Jay home. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gardner of Canton, Ohio, have returned to their home following a week visit here. Mrs. Gardner has been here a month. The Igo-Ugo Club will meet March 21st. with Mrs. Geo. Hill. Harry Louis Cousin of Hattie Ground, Indiana, spent last week end with Harry and wife. Sgt. Harold Brown and Sgt. Jack East have each been wounded again.. Sgt. Verne Poisel, of Camp Blanding, Florida, has returned to his base.
