ISAAC KNAPP PASSES AWAY

Mr. Isaac Walter Knapp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Knapp was born October 4, 1872 at Chesterton, Indiana and passed away last Friday morning at the age of seventy jears, five months, and twen-ty-eight days. His death re suited from paralysis. He had been ill for some time and entered the Rensselaer hospital several weeks before his death. Mr. Knapp had lived in the Wheatfield community for the last thirty five years and was engaged in farming and hutch ering. June 1, 1895 he was united in marriage with Miss Rhoda Webb of Wheatfield. To this union were born two children. Surviving besides the widow are two children, Mrs. Grace Karch of Gary and Kenneth Knapp, also of Gary; Joseph Knapp of East Gary, who made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Knapp since he was eight years old, and tw"o grandchildren. Other survivors are seven sisters and brothers. These are Benjamin H. Knapp of Zion, 111., Andrew Knapp of Wheatfield, Mrs. Gertrude Fitzgerald of Chicago Heights, Mrs. Anna Bradford of Libejrtvville. 111.. William Knapp and Mrs. Flora Stump, both of W T heatfield and Mrs. Nellie Fenny of Joliet. Til. One sister, Mrs. Della Keplinger preceded him in death. A host of friends and neighbors w"ho have know-n Mr. Knapp through the years will miss his presence in their midst.
