Many thanks to all his friends who have remembered him. I Mrs. Sam McGinnis received a letter recently from her grandson, Marshall Coberly, who is somewhere in Australia. He wishes to thank the people of the Methodist church and all others, who sent him Xmas gifts and he wishes everybody well, back here in DeMofte, his home town. He says he is getting along fine, has gained 20 pounds since going into the service, 16 months ago. Doris Schwanke is spending : a furlough with home folks, j Bhe has been stationed with j the WAACS at Baltimore, Maryland. Pvt. Herman Woudema stationed at Detroit and Andrew Woudema at Peru, Indiana, brothers, are both enjoying a five day furlough. He has been in a serious condition at the Rensselaer hospital for more than a week, suffering with pleursy and complications.
