MRS. FRANCIS TO SPEAK AT METHODIST CHURCH
Mrs. George FJ. Francis of \ j East Chicago, will be the guest speaker at the meeting of the Women’s Society of Christian Service at is regular monthly meeting on Thursday, February 11. Mrs. Francis will speak on the theme “Problems of a Christian and Lasting Peace in Europe.f’ She was, until 1937, Associate Professor of European History in Skidmore College, Saratoga, X. Y. She spent the summer of 1932 in studv and travel t +* through central Europe and illustrations for her address will be drawn from her studv and 9 «/ • travel there and | in Russia. Opportunity to ask questions will be given at the close of her address. Because of , her knowledge of and interest in the problems of the peace that is to come, she has been asked by the South Bend District Womens Society of Christian Service to help in this part of the work of the Society thruout the district. Mrs. Francis is the wife of the pastor of the Methodist church at Indiana Harbor. The meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Alfred Ewart president of the local society. Mrs. Francis may speak at the Youth Fellowship at the church in the evening at its regular weekly meeting.
