RUSSELL CLARKE RECEIVES WINGS

Russell Clarke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Faye Clarke of near Rensselaer, received silver wings as a graduate of the Army Air Forces Gulf Coast Training Center, January -4th. Russell received a Flying Ofii cers commission at exercises held for eight advanced flying schools. He was graduated from Lubbock Field. Herbert a Heuser of Wheatfield received his wings and a Lieutenants commission at the same time. Mr. Clarke, accompanied by Mrs. Clarke (Mae Stroupe) arrived home Sunday for ten days furlough, after which he will report for duty at Shreveport, La.
