FARM MOBILE ATION DAY JANUARY 12
America’s six nillion farm families are mob lizing January 12—proclaimed Farm Mobilization Day by President Roosevelt —for the Most Critical Farm Production year in
history. The Jasper county U. S. D. A. War Board in regular session Saturday morning, Janary 2, with representatives of farm organizations, Home Economics Club, Business Men’s organizations. City officials, Agricultural teachers, and Ministerial association made plans for Farm Mobilization Day in Jasper county. Meetings will be held at Wheatfield, Rensselaer,• and Remington in the afternoon of January 12. When farm families will get full information as to what wanted from their farm in 1943, and why; what assistance they can get and how;, and when the general public will learn what what the farm job is. how the farmer is going about this critical job and the prospects for success. o
The job in 1943 will be much more difficult than in 1942. There are growing shortage of farm labor, supplies and machinery. Te weather may not be so favorable in 19 T 43. To reach the farm production goals set for 1943 for every farm, commodity will require full use of our combined resources of man power, land, equipment and government programs. Farm Mobilization Day will be featured by a great National network radio program. To succeed in this job farmers must have the sympathetic understanding and support of all America. For the farmer’s goals are the county’s goals.
