TO CELEBRATE LABOR DAY AT LOWELL

Every committee appointed to arrange for the annual Labor Day celebration at Lowell next Monday has been hard at work, and now have all the arrangements completed so that the thousands of visitors who will be guests of Lowell Post 10 L American Legion, will spend a most enjoyable day in Lowell at Oakland Park. The program begins at 9:30 a. m., when the industrial parade will proceed through the principal streets, and end at Oakland Park, where the re mainder of the day's program is to be held. The first event at the park will be the Lake County Saddle Club Round-Up. This part of the program is one that will be worth coming many miles to see, as the Saddle Club members have promised stunts that will be of much interest to all. The day’s program will be one to keep you entertained all day and evening, with drum and bugle corps drills, exhibitions by high school horses and free acts afternoon and evening. Boxing bouts will be put on at night, to be followed by a display of fireworks and the program will end with awarding of the U. S. War Bonds. One-half of the net profits on sale of tickets on War Bonds will be given to the USO. I There will be plenty of amusement and food stands on the grounds to accommodate everyone—so plan to come and make a full day of it Floyd Hamilton, chairman of the parade committee asks all the business houses and others to place floats in the parade, thus making the parade bigger and better than ever.
