The Womans Society of Christian Service held their January meeting at the Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon. Opening devotionals were led by Mrs. Faye Curtin assisted byMrs Eva Conrad and .Mrs. Ely. The officers for the new year were installed during a Ca idle Light .Service. Mrs J. J. Mm>r presided during the installation and read the ritual. Mrs. Ely sang “Blessed Master I Have Promised” with Mrs. Ewart as accompanist. The officers for the now year are: Pres., Faye Curtin; Vice-Pros., Eva Conrad; Seel, Ida Bol; Corns. Sec., .Clara Punter: Sec, of Chris. Social Relations and Local -Church Activities. Grace Cheeyer; Treas., Thelma Hollaray. Mrs. Florence DeYoung reviewed the lesson, ks presented for Jan. in ‘“Proof Sheets of Power” During the : business session annual dues were paid .md several business matters discussed': and acted upon.-The Society agreed to serve the dinner at the churches Mid Winter Banquet to be held bn Tuesday evening, February,,! 7th. r ■ . Hostesses; for the day were Mrs. Amos McDaniel. Geneva McDaniel and Mrs. Barker, who served refreshments to twenty four guests. The next meeting will be held on the. second Wednesday in February, and the ladies are asked to come prepared to work,'
