CHURCH PILLAR JAILED

Newark, N.J.—Mrs. Amelia Carr, known for the past five years sa an ardent church worker, was placed in the Essex county jail Sunday charged with fraud. Mrs. Carr, 66 fears old, is the wife of the president of the board of trustees of a chcrch here. The husband and the pastor yf the church both expressed amazement at the charges.
