Broiler and Egg Show Scheduled For March 17-18-19
Dates for the 1942 Broiler and Egg Show were set recently by the committee in charge of the show. George Shuster, of Rensselaer who is the flock keeper of St. Joseph College flocks was elected president of the 1942 show. Other officers include Howard Emme secretary and Mrs. Fern Bauman, treasurer. Mr. Shuster appointed the following committees with chairmans as follow: Banquet, Russell Hadley; Publicity. Ed Nussbaum; Commericial exhibits. Arthur Nicosin; Rules and Awards, A P. Nelson; Education program.. E. E. Fultz; Show arrangements,. Theo. Amsler; Chicken Dressing Contest, Grace Russell; Decorations. Cecil Sutton; Auction, Marion Irwin; Entertainment, Howard Emme. Fifty people have been appointed on committees which have already began to function. This years show promises to be the largest and best show of the year. Anyone having broilers hatched after November 25th, will be eligible to compete for the many cash prizes awarded at the show. The committee is planning a poultry school which will include a production and consumption angle with the best poultry specialists available. Another chicken dressing contest will he held and several large prizes are to be awarded. All ladies interested should send their application to Miss Grace Russell, Rensselaer, Indiana.
