DEMOTTE INDIANS WIN TWO GAMES LAST WEEK
The DeMotte Indians defeated Fair Oaks last Friday night by the lop-sided score of 45-9. Bernard sparked the locals with 19 points, M. Boezeman 10 with Sehoonveld and Zeek getting S. S. Boezeman was the fifth man in the line up. The Fair Oaks second team defeated the local second stringers by a 22-16 count. Tuesday night the Indians continued their winning ways, taking La-Oros‘-i> into camp, 30-20. Bernard, *tid M. Boezenton again were high 'Diets, getting 10 -points each, as did Knope of La.Crosse. Zerk tnllyed s points- and S’. Boezeman 2 Sehoonveld, \nderson, Peterson, and Evans, completed the line-up. The officials played tin* best game Tuesday night, both the local team and the LaCrosse team being very rough. Weinkauf and Knope of the visitors were ejected for roughness and Sehoonveld of the locals likewise was booted. Ferguson and Simpkins of LaCrosse went out via The fourfold rule. Wiggins , and Powell of Valparaiso were the officials, who did a very capable job of whistle tooting, a total of 25 ? fouls being called. Next home game is Jan, 7, with St. Joe Academy furnishing opposition. This Friday the teams journey to San Pierre. -■ . i 4-H GIRLS HAVE MEETING The 4-Hgirls held a meeting at 7:30 on Dec. 10 with 29 out of the, 31 enrolled present. The meeting} opened with the singing of Christmas songs. Each girl had to imitate something before they received their Christmas present. Games were play | ed and refreshments served. The leaders are Mrs. Wm. Ely and Mrs. Ivan Cheever. I
