I • a v >• On Wed. Dec. 3, the quilting division of the Womans Society of Christian Service of the Methodist A Church met at the home of Mrs. Clara Punter for their regular monthly all day meeting. December birthdays were celebrated. Those having birthdays were Mrs. Minnie Timmons and Mrs. Ida 80l and received- cards and gTfts. Mrs. Potter presented each one having birthdays and the hostess with beautiful blooming Geraniums. A lot of work was accomplished. At noon after Happy Birthday was sung and prayer, a bountiful pot-luck dinner was served. Those present were Mesdames Ida 801, Minnie Timmons, Lizzie Feldman. Clara Punter, Rose Hammerton Ellen Tyler, Lillie Stroup, Daisy McDaniel, Martha Potter Geneva McDaniel, Eva Conrad, Eva Stevens, Thelma Holliday and little Howard McDaniel. Nelson 11. Doud was bom in Alleghan, Mich., on Nov. 6. 1861 and died at the home of his son Lee Daud northeast of DeMotte, on Sunday Dec. 7, 1941. He was the father of 16 children, of whom the following are living; John. Ruby. Kedric, Farnum, Harry. Carl, Mrs. Robert Morse, Leo, Mrs. David Cox. Mrs. Glenn Sim* and Mrs. Henry Petritch. Also surviving are 32 grandchildren. Funeral service was held on Wednesday morning from Lippels Funeral Home at Valparaiso w’ith Rev. J. J. Moor officiating. Interment at Valparaiso cemetery.
