Twelve merhbors gathered Thursday afternoon at Mrs. Willntington’s house for club meeting and play. Our hostess served a delicious luncheon, consisting of chop suey, hot rolls, ccffee and cake A lovely afternoon was enjoyed by all despite the bad weather and icy roads. Our club,_glthough it enjoys social semi-monthly partys, does not, forget the less fortunate at Christmas time. ~ * Our monthly dues are small and to raise funds we raffle some article .of' good value annually—proceed s being used to purchase groceries and meat for the needy. This Christmas we were fortunate and happy in aiding four families in dire need, delivering each a bushel basket of groceries and goodies. - We, the ladies of the Kniman Bunco club, wish to express but* sincere thanks to the merchants of Kniman who so ; unselfishly aided our club with true humanitarian spirit, may you all prosper well in 1941. And to the* many local residents and friends who purchased raffle tickets a grand thank vo*u!
