CHRISTMAS PROGRAM AT THE AMERICAN REFORMED CHURCH

December 25th, at 7:30 O'clock A short program by the Primary Class will be followed by a CantataPageant, “Pilgrims to Bethlehem”, which will be presented by a cast of 75 young people and children, assisted by a choir featuring special numbers and Christmas music. The first scene presents types of Pilgrims journeying to Bethlehem for the enrollment, as brought to mind by Remembrance, who carries the continuity of the first scene. Young, mature, or aged, they are bitter, worried. hopeless over the prospect of added burdens. Remembrance comforts them with the promises of the Messiah. Joseph comes. The Shepherds, encouraging him, are sure that he and Mary will find shelter. An interlude bring the return of Shepherds and Pilgrims, joyously singing the glad tidings. In the second scene the continuity is divided betwen Remembrance and the Angel of Christmas. At the call of the Angel, Pilgrims of today come, the Children, the Carollers, Givers, the Penitent, and Seekers, all receiving the light of Bethlehem There is a final appeal to all to seek by faith the manger and to worship the Christ. Come and enjoy this fine program, and* together at this Christmas time again celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Savior of the world
